We are so proud of our amazing kindergarten authors at CBS who have completed their Todd Parr writing unit! Inspired by Todd Parr’s joyful style and powerful messages, our young writers created thoughtful pieces sharing what they are thankful for.
Last night our Winter Concert series concluded with wonderful performances from our 6th grade ensembles and solo piano performances from 6th grader Josie Sachs and 7th grader Christian Sachs. There was even a visit from the abominable snowman! Congratulations to all of our performers in our Winter Concert series this week and to our wonderful music teachers!

Our 5th grade students at CBS enjoyed their first Athletes Helping Athletes visit, building connections and discussing perseverance with our high school athletes!
Ms. Venuti introduced a new hand sewing unit to her 7th grade Family and Consumer Science classes this year that proved to be a success based on these awesome finished products!
Creative writing students from Mrs. Whalen's class wrote and submitted suspenseful 100-word mini-sagas to the Young Writers’ Competition, and they have been chosen for publication in the book Fright Club Malevolent Minds.

Students in Bethpage High School's ACE Program visited one of their favorite places in the community -- Chick Fil A! At the restaurant, they practiced their ordering skills while interacting with members of Chick Fil A's friendly staff.

We enjoyed a wonderful evening celebrating Family Literacy Night at CBS! Families, students, and staff came together to share stories, explore books, and engage in meaningful literacy activities that brought our community even closer. The night was filled with joy, curiosity, and a shared love of reading. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the event such a warm and memorable success!
